Khabib Nurmagomedov on sleep
I recently wrote about 2 False ideas preventing rest. Continuing on this topic, and to further confirm the importance of rest to remain performant, check out what Khabib Nurmagomedov says about it:
For me, recovery is sleep; the most important thing. > Between training, at least 2 to 3 hours. All my life, in the daytime, I was sleeping.
From 11 am to 1 pm, 12 pm to 2 pm, or 2 pm to 4 pm. Between training, you have to sleep because you train so hard. Morning, 2 hours, and at night, you have to train for 2.5 hours.
You need rest. You have to rest.
- Khabib Nurmagomedov
Khabib is arguably one of the best MMA fighters of all time. What struck me in this interview is that he implies that resting is part of the work. This is an idea that I've been thinking about more and more lately.
